[Green Day] I'm not fucking Justin Bieber #iHeart

They awaits 20 minutes to Usher do his show at iHeart Festival. When they were playing, a sign alerts just a minute left - they cannot even play his new songs.
Billie Joe was not so happy: "I'm not fucking Justin Bieber". "I've been around since 1988".

Well... He is right.

Later, the official Green Day's facebook page make an apologize statement about the fact:

Billie Joe is seeking treatment for substance abuse. We would like everyone to know that our set was not cut short by Clear Channel and to apologize to those we offended at the iHeartRadio Festival in Las Vegas. We regretfully must postpone some of our upcoming promotional appearances.

But for me he was kind of sober. Maybe they threw Billie under a "moving bus" to make up with some big guy... what you guys think about?

That is F*cking Awesome! Kudos for Green Day! Billie Joe had a right to be pissed, you can't tell a musician they have 45 minutes then before letting them go on, tell them oh no sorry you only have 25 minutes now. He shouldn't have to apoligize!

  3. That was rude to cut their set. You plan and prepare for something and then you are kicked in the teeth and expected to smile through it. Not right and I support his actions. Sometimes in life you have to stand up for yourself and make a stand. He did and I am proud of his actions.

  6. I do still think he was sober. Maybe not 100% but still sober at a point about knowing what he was doing, and what was going on. The apologies looks like some management stuff I guess... Just saying....

  7. If you can put yourself at Billie´s place u will understand. What he said about Bieber must be something that already was on his mind, the disrespectful way that this legendary band was treated shows us how the companies are only interested in profits. "i´ve been around since 1988" For me this is more than a reason to give all the time they need. But for the companies, they must be old and useless. Who brings more money? Green Day or Bieber? I´m not sure, but i think the answer is Bieber. But who plays the most awesome music? Everybody knows that one.
