Lemmy is dead? Not quite #motorhead

This guy is sacred. Can't be dead
Apparently Lemmy is dead. But only in Brazil.
I am here freezing my butt since I read a producer from Korzus stating Lemmy was dead and he was crying. After him a guy from a brazilian popular radio also confirm. Everything happening at Facebook. I google it. Nothing. Twitter it: found Dave Mustaine posting at 2:07am:

"Best wishes to #Lemmy on a speedy recovery".

I keep searching until I finally found something about Lemmy state. Is he dead? Top Link announces that received a call about 2:30am confirming Lemmy Kilmister's death. Wow. It sounds so official. It strikes me in the head: he is dead. Lemmy is dead.

Top Link is a manager enterprise that brings Motorhead to Brazil. But they commit a mistake on this note, they said they brought  Motorhead back in 2009, but it was 2011. They don't check facts so well, do they? Doubt increases!

But again, nothing at google or twitter. Just some sad brazilians (myself included), and brazilian blogs reposting the note.

A friend also told that he attended an Angra show this night and a tour manager - from Top Link, sure - announced it live at the stage about Lemmy's death. Rumor has it this manager was the responsible to bring Motorhead to Brazil, and also, as a fact, the roadie crew of the Lemmy's band is composed, among some others, by 2 brazilians. By this way the Top Link information was too much powerful to be fake. My friend said that the statement  was close to 2 am, as far as he remember.

Bring the pieces together: 2 am something about Lemmy was spread. Mustaine received something about Lemmy being in recovery process. Angra's crew receives that he was dead. Mustaine speaks english. Angra's crew doesn't (native/mother language). So, I really believe it is some Lost in Translation stuff. Since this kind of thing happens if you mess some language terms or medical therms. Hearing heavy stuff like that make some getting anxious misunderstanding facts while trying to mental translate.

I imagine something like this:
(this is my interpretation, not reality)
- Lemmy state as you all know was not good. He is a warrior... but now he could not stand... unfortunately we'll cancel some tour dates as you might comprehend.
- OMG LEMMY IS DEAD

Just an example.
But would you not get anxious about something like this?
Lemmy state after Wacken is quite a mystery by itself. And his state before Wacken was not good at all. Let's review some facts. This year Lemmy was fitted with a defibrillator to correct his heart complications. More recently he suffered a hematoma (blood collecting outside of the blood vessels) and Motorhead were forced to cancel the majority of their tour dates - but not Wacken. After losing blood he was probably weak by Anemia or something like that.
Some report that onstage Lemmy said:
“I’ve been ill recently — I’ve come onstage to play some rock ‘n’ roll and fuck myself even more.”

Some people describe him as looking pale and sluggish, taking a long time in between songs. Some even said Lemmy may have collapsed after the sixth song. An ambulance was seen leaving the venue, but nobody really knows if Lemmy was inside of it. Not even Wacken organizers could explain exactly what was going on. But there are reports that Doro Pesch announced at her stage that “Lemmy is doing fine,” and even the Motorhead guitarist Phil Campbell join her onstage as a guest appearance.

Lemmy is dead only in Brazil up until now. Hope he is alive and recovering well somewhere else.

Top Link note (in portuguese): http://toplinkmusic.com/site/motorhead-declaracao-da-produtora-top-link-music-sobre-lemmy/

The TopLink site is down, tho. Probably by the high flux/transit of views on it. No server resists.
Chill, dudes. Uncle war is here for any doubts until an official statement is done.

UPDATED: A girl called Dr. Dot states:
"This will put all the rumors or Lemmy being dead to rest: I just emailed Phil, Motörhead guitarist and close mate of mine and asked him if the rumors were true and his exact words were "No, its a bunch of crap. I just spoke to him. These rumour people should be put in jail. He got a bad back that's all" 5:50am NYC time. So, there you go. Lemmy just needs a massage. Dotbots to the rescue."

UPDATED 2:  Paulo Baron from Top Link wrote a mea culpa and said that besides being informed and confirmed by ~many~ fonts that Lemmy was dead, it was not true. In fact, Lemmy is ok and coming back home. They also deleted the previous link with the death statement. So, Lemmy is not dead. Cheers, dudes! :) What a mess TL and PB....

UPDATED 3: Lemmy posted on facebook:
"The show had to go on because that's how Lemmy rolls. Even though he was not 100% fit, he refused to feel he was letting the 85,000 Wacken fans down. They kicked ass in the 100+degree heat for a shortened, but powerful, set before, Lemmy finally realized he might have bitten off a little more than he could chew. Thus he will embark upon the recuperation recommended. We know that rumors are flying around, but once he fully recharges, Motörhead will be back, don't you worry!"

  1. How can you say Angra doesn't speak English? please... this post sounds extremely xenofobic.
It's not their fault if they received a fake message... Mistakes occur everywhere in the world.

    1. When I said not speaking english, I mean as mother language. As you say, mistakes occur everywhere in the world. I really don't blaming Brazil at all. I am brazilian also. I was appointing the fact that at the same time two messages was spread. One was wrong.

      Thanks for passing by.
      Valeu, guria. :D

  2. Well, I just want to know who is the stupid person that made that statement.
It could happen in any country and with any foreign language, but it had to be in Brazil. Urgh!
I am brazilian too, by the way.
