Remote Japanese Train Station Stays Open for a Girl to go to School

For three years Kami-Shirataki station in Hokkaido was about to close it services and put a freight train. But there was a last passenger that needs to go to school. Kana made Japan Railway change its plans. Now the train will pass two times, to take and bring Kana from school. The station will close only when her school is over. That will happen in March.

Sounds like Ghibli movie, isn't?
